WooHoo! Off we go to Mexico! Once in Mexico, we go to Huacuz Surgical Center where you will stay for the next 2 nights and 3 days ( no hotel ). Once there, you will all have the tests necessary before your lapband surgery. ie---Sonogram, Blood Tests, and Echocardiogram, making sure you are a healthy candidate for surgery. Then- you will be prepared for surgery, have lapband surgery, and for the next two nights, you will be watched, monitored, and taken care of by professional Nurses, Staff, and Dr. Huacuz. Also, for your comfort and any other needs you may have, Laurie Wolf will and other Lapband surgery guests be there for you.
Before leaving, you will have a barium swallow with a picture of your band placement to take home with you. Also you will get your own personal Inamed Lapband ID card with a serial #, Your hospital records ( in English ), with an explanation of your procedures, Dr. Huacuz' personal cell phone number, a diet of what you can eat for the next two weeks, a list of places where you can have your lapband filled in the U.S. and probably a few new phone numbers and email addresses of your new friends. We then prepare to leave, the bus picks us up, takes us through customs, across the border, and to the airport. We board the plane and go back to our families, friends and "Home Sweet Home!"
